Brown Fused Alumina, also called Brown aluminum oxide, made of high-quality abrasive grade bauxite as raw material, together with auxiliary materials, refined in an electric arc furnace at a high temperature above 2250 ºC. After the secondary refining, the impurities are removed by a high-intensity magnetic separator, and the refractoriness of the BFA is above 1850 °C . It has high purity, good crystallization, strong fluidity, low coefficient of linear expansion and corrosion resistance. The product has the characteristics of no explosion, no pulverization and no cracking during the application process, and is widely used in the abrasives and refractory raw material industries.

What Is Difference Between Tilting Furnace Melted & Fixing Furnace Melted ?
Ball Milling & Barmac Process?
1. Tilting furnace process affects SiO2, SiO2 <1% by Tilting furnace, SiO2 <1.5% is by fixed furnace.
2. Barmac affects the density, the grain shape is rounder & the density is greater than ball milling
3. The Tilting furnace made BFA has high Al2O3 content
4. The corundum has good toughness & more suitable for abrasive products by dumping furnace process

The difference between F-grit & P-grit Abrasive grains:
F-grit is more suitable for bonded abrasive tools.
P-grit is more suitable for coated abrasive tools. It is with a closer tolerance size distribution, lower density, and better self-sharpening ability than non-P-grit abrasives, which means that they offer a more consistent surface finish.
Application Abrasives:
grinding wheel, abrasive belt, sandpaper, abrasive cloth, cutting disc,
sandblasting process, grinding, wear-resistant floor, water jet cutting, coated abrasive, bonded abrasive, etc.
Application Refractory materials:
castable, refractory brick, ramming material, slide plate, nozzle, ladle, furnace lining, precision casting, etc.
Main Applications of Brown Fused Alumina
- Make resin cutting discs, cremic grinding wheels
- Make coated abrasives such as sand belts, sand paper, flap wheels, fiber wheels...
