Wedge wire screen laterals assemblies are divided into hub lateral assembly and header lateral assembly based on their installation position and function within the tank.
- Hub lateral assembly is used at the top or bottom of the tank. Its main role is to distribute and collect liquids at the equipment outlet.
- Header lateral assembly is used in the middle section of the tank to ensure even distribution and discharge of liquids while preventing media from flowing out.

Hub radial lateral assembly consists of a central hub and several screen laterals. It is typically installed at the top or bottom of the vessel.
