How to Use PTFE Thread Seal Tape?1. Begin by removing any foreign objects from the connecting parts and maintain them in pristine cleanliness.
2. Be mindful of the wrapping direction. For instance, when dealing with an angle valve intended to screw into a wall's inner thread, the rotation is clockwise to the right. Hence, the raw material tape should be wrapped counterclockwise to the left. This ensures that as the angle valve is screwed in, the tape tightens further, preventing any loosening.
3. When wrapping, ensure that the PTFE thread seal tape is tightened securely around the thread. Strive for maximum tightness, avoiding any slack. After wrapping, press and rotate it with your hands for a firmer hold, or simultaneously wrap and press.
4. The number of wrapping layers is flexible, determined by the need to ensure no leakage while achieving a secure fit. Typically, wrapping more than ten times based on experience ensures optimal sealing efficiency.
5. Exercise caution when tightening the thread; excessive force is unnecessary. A gentle, firm hand is enough to prevent leakage, as long as a strong resistance is felt when tightening.
