Huawei U1981 Unified Gateway (hereinafter referred to as U1981) is the core of Huawei Voice gateways support Huawei IP terminals and unified communications applications, providing professional IP voice solutions and unified communications solutions.
U1981 adopts wide and narrow band integrated design, high integration, single frame support 20,000 users. It can connect to the operator's network or private network voice switching equipment through digital trunk, analog trunk and SIP trunk, and support analog phones and IP phone mix to pick up people.
The U1981 features modularity, simple installation, and hot-swappable boards. Graphical configuration for easy deployment and maintenance.

The U1981 can be configured with dual power modules. By default, there is a single power supply module, which is located in slot 2 of the power supply. When configured with dual power modules, the following functions are available:
•Supports current sharing and backup
During normal operation, multiple power modules can share the load with their own output current; When a power module stops working, other power modules play a backup role and assume their normal power supply tasks.
• Support hot swapping
Without turning off the power supply of the whole machine, the power module can be directly added at the empty slot of the distribution box; In the case of redundant backup of the power supply, a power supply module can be unplugged directly without affecting the normal operation of the device
