Indoor non expansion steel structure fireproof coating
Product Introduction:

Indoor non expansion steel structure fireproof coating is made of specially made expanded vermiculite, inorganic fireproof materials, fireproof additives, high-temperature resistant reinforcement materials composite chemical additives, etc. It is a similar product to the execution standard GB14907-2002 indoor thick steel structure fireproof coating.

This coating has excellent fire and thermal insulation properties and can be used as a fireproof layer for beams, columns, walls, and floors of various building steel structures, tunnels, and reinforced concrete structures. Its fire resistance and physical, chemical, and mechanical properties meet the requirements of GB14907-2018 standard. Due to its characteristics of non corrosion of steel, no chemical reaction with any anti-corrosion primer, no irritating odor, light coating weight (relatively light structural load weight), large unit coating area, no smoke generation when exposed to fire, and no release of harmful gases, this product is suitable for fire protection coating and protection of steel structural load-bearing components in various industrial and civil construction projects, including new construction, expansion, and renovation.

It can be widely used for fire protection of steel structure surfaces in auditoriums, cinemas, hotels, hospitals, office buildings, shopping malls, as well as factories, warehouses, and various industrial and civil buildings in industries such as petrochemicals, transportation, electronics and telecommunications, and mechanical manufacturing.

Construction method:
1. Grassroots treatment: Before construction, the dust, oil stains, and floating rust on the steel parts should be thoroughly removed. Then, two layers of anti rust paint should be applied to the steel parts. After inspection and no brushing phenomenon is found, the next process can be carried out.
2. Fireproof coating construction:
The application of this fireproof coating can be divided into two types: adding metal mesh and not adding metal mesh.
(1) Adding metal mesh
Fixed metal mesh:
After the anti rust paint is dry, cut the metal mesh according to the shape of the steel piece, fix it on the steel piece with a steel bar clamp, and then use a pre welded steel bar to flatten the raised part of the metal mesh, keeping a distance of about 1cm between the mesh and the surface of the steel piece.
(2) No metal mesh added
Powder: glue: water=3:1:2 (The ratio of powder and glue can be adjusted appropriately according to the construction site situation.)
(3) Spray (or apply) fireproof coating
Mixing of Fireproof Coatings
Put the powder and water into the mixer in proportion, stir for 5-10 minutes, and form a uniform and thick fluid state.
Spraying: A dedicated extrusion pump spraying system is required for construction. When spraying, the spray gun should be perpendicular to the surface of the steel part, with a distance of 0.4-0.6 meters as appropriate. The spraying pressure should be maintained at 0.4-0.6 Mpa.
Smearing: Similar to the traditional method of applying water, sand, and mortar, it requires a uniform thickness, compaction, and flattening to avoid defects such as honeycombing and air conditioning.
Construction requirements:
The first layer should be applied with a thickness of 5-6mm, and the recommended thickness for each subsequent layer should be 7-10mm until the design thickness is reached. Attention: The next layer can only be applied after the first layer is dry. When no metal mesh is added, the thickness of the bottom layer shall not be less than 1cm.
(1) The mixed material should be used up within 30 minutes, and the construction temperature should be above 5 ºC.
(2) After the construction is completed, try to avoid strong vibrations and hard impacts within two weeks to ensure the quality of the coating.
(3) When the cross-section of the steel part is too large, even if using adhesive base material, a metal mesh must be added.
The product should be stored in a ventilated, dry warehouse with a temperature above 0 ºC. During storage and transportation, attention should be paid to moisture-proof, sun proof, rain proof, and powder materials that are prone to water and clumping should not be used.
 
 
Packaging and Transportation:

1. Indoor non expanding steel structure fireproof coating. This product is packaged in woven bags lined with plastic bags, with a weight of 25kg per bag. It should be stored in a ventilated, dry warehouse with a temperature above 0-35 ºC.
2. This product is a non flammable, non explosive, non-toxic, and non corrosive safety product for indoor non expanding steel structure fireproof coatings. During storage and transportation, attention should be paid to moisture-proof, sun proof, rain proof, and powder materials that are prone to water and clumping should not be used.
3. Indoor non expansion steel structure fireproof coatings are non hazardous products and are transported as general materials. The storage time of this product should not exceed 6 months.
