Wire Sewing Thread

Product DescriptionHigh-temperature sewing thread with steel wire is a high-performance sewing thread made from a special steel core (material number 1.4841) and 10 wires wrapped with para-aramid covering. It is designed to provide a high level of heat resistance for a wide range of technical textiles. The special steel core can withstand temperatures of approximately 600°C under mechanical strain; and up to 1000°C without any mechanical strain.

Steel wire-reinforced high-temperature sewing thread is suitable for use in high-temperature environments and firefighter protective clothing, in accordance with EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 14116, and EN 469. They are not suitable for use in electrician and welder protective clothing due to their relatively low vertical resistance (<10^5 ohms) of the material, which cannot guarantee protection against the possibility of electric shock from contact with live conductors.
