YKK, YRKK Series motors are allowed to be started directly at full voltage. When start the motor, the rheostat should be, connected to regulate the starting torque by adjusting resistor attached but the rotor windings should not be short-circuited.

The frame of motor is welded by steel plate to formed a tank-type. The protection degree of the enclosure for the motor is IP44 and other type can IP54. The type of installation is IMB3, cooling methods are IC611.
The winding of motor will be provided with a good insulation and moistureproof performance after it is treated with vacum pressure impregnation or impregnated integrally.
The rotor winding of the YKK series motor is made of casta aluminium or copper bar. The rotor winding of YRKK series motor is made of copper bar wrapped, with insulation class F.
In general, the motor has one shaft extension, in which a flat key is dessigned to provide for the YKK series squirrel-cage motors and YRKK serie wound notors with the shaft height under H500(including H500), but a tangential key is provided forseries YRKK wound motors with the shaft.
