Portable type woodworking vise is a useful adjunct to any woodworking shop. Mount it permanently on the workbench with the screw holes provided or, using the integrated clamp, move it to any work surface. Vise body and front plates are made from close-grained cast iron with provisions for attaching wooden protective liners. The steel main screw has Acme threads for smooth responsive adjustments. 6" wide jaws open to 4-1/2" and are equipped with "toe-in" feature so that when fully closed, the jaws meet only at the top to provide even clamping on the whole depth of the workpiece. Clamps to any worksurface up to 2" thick.
