SXT-I single screw extruder adopts servo system, It is consist of touch screen, Data measurement-and-control system, Power system and Pressure measurement system. Data measurement-and-control system complete the data acquisition of temperature, pressure, speed as well as electrical, temperature and speed control.
It is consist of the Drive device, Feeding device, Barrel ,Screw and Dies parts, etc.The screw is the heart of the extruder, divided into the charging section (solid conveying zone), compression section(melting zone) and the homogenization section (the melt conveying zone) three parts.Put the material into the hopper ,under the action of a rotating screw,material was pushed on to direction of the nose.Material endures strong shear, mixing and calendering in the barrel,In this process, Meanwhile, the physical states of material the evolve from glass state to the high elastic state ,eventually become sticky flow pattern .
The screw with different diameters, length-diameter radio and compress ratio can be chosen depending on the tested materials.It can complete different functional simulation test in laboratory environment with Capillary Die,Pipe Die,Flat Die,Coating Wire Die and Other auxiliary equipments.
Principle
Simulate Production Realistically on a Laboratory Scale ,single screw measuring extruder serves for testing the extrudability of polymers and for studying thesis occurring in research and development as well as in practical application. The single screw extruder system allows a complete instrumentation of the extruders for the control and development of raw material. Different screws, die heads, and downstream equipment fulfill all kinds of extrusion tasks.
Application
In the measuring extruder , the sample material is plastified under practice-oriented conditions and extruded through the die head. All measuring values such as torque, melt temperature, melt pressure are recorded continuously and represented in the form of tables and diagrams parallel to the current test. The extrudate is tested for various criteria:
• Uniform plastification, gloss, gels
• Color dispersion and color matching
• Transparency and formation of streaks, e.g. with transparent materials
• Swelling and contraction behaviour
• Segregation of individual recipe components of a compound at the die and/or at the screw`s tip
(e.g. titanium dioxide)
• Output per unit of time, etc.
