Structure
- Cylindrical housing: The pump has a cylindrical housing which serves as the basic framework to contain internal components such as the rotor and vanes.

Working Principle
Gas enters the pump through the intake port. As the rotor rotates, the vanes divide the pump chamber into different spaces. Then, as the rotation continues, the volume of the space decreases, and the gas is compressed and finally ejected from the pump through the exhaust port.
