General Introductions 

YFB2 series dust-explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous motors are designed, tested, and manufactured according to GB12476.1-2000 (idtlEC61241-1-1999), Electrical Equipment Used in Environments with Combustible Dust; Section 1: Technical Requirements for Electrical Equipment, Part 1: Electrical Equipment with Enclosure and Surface Temperature Limit Protection. These series motors are fully enclosed, fan-ventilated, and have a squirrel-cage products. They are of remarkable features, such as novel design, compact construction, attractive appearance, high efficiency, and torque, excellent starting performance, energy saving, low noise and vibration, and safe and reliable operation. The frame size range of this series is 80-355, and the output ratings and mounting dimensions totally conform to the standards of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

Insulation grade: F or H in general. Except for maximum temperature rise, the technical parameters of the two grades are the same. The insulation grade of YFB series motors is F. When the motors operate at an altitude less than 1000m and the highest ambient temperature is less than 40° C, the maximum temperature rise of stator windings shall be 80K, while the 2-pole and 4-pole motors with the frame size of 315L and the motors with the frame size of 355 should be examined by taking the value as 105K.

01. Allowable bearing temperature: not more than 95° C.  
02. Protection class of enclosure: IP65 (see GB/T4942.1) 
03. Cooling method: IC411 (see GB/T1993) 
04. Selection of the rated power and number of poles (rotation rate): the output ratings provided by the manufacturer are chosen from the first number system specified in the standard of GB/T4772.1, and a small part of output ratings are chosen from the second number system. However, the output ratings and the number of poles might fail to meet user1 requirements on some occasions. If so, please consult with the manufacturer. 
05. Climate protection types and environment marks. 
(1) TH-for the environment in the humid tropics 
(2) W-for outdoor and slightly corrosive environment
(3) WF1 -for outdoor and moderately corrosive environment 
(4) WF2-for outdoors and highly corrosive environment  
(5) F1-for indoor and moderately corrosive environment
(6) F2-for indoor and highly corrosive environment 
06. Connection mode: Y connection for the output rating of 3kW or below; △ connection for the other output ratings.  
07. Cable entry: rubber sheath and steel fiber for choice.
08. Duty: continuous duty or S1 duty (S1 for short; running under a constant load to reach the steady thermal state)  
09. Auxiliary requirements: the motors with a center height of 315-355 are provided with the oil-filling and -draining device.
