It can be used for arthroscopic and luminal resection of soft tissues and bone, where the resected tissue can be suctioned from the surgical site by means of a suction device within the head of the blade.

8. Aim the blade of the planer at the lesion or tissue to be planed or attracted to be planed appropriately according to the surgical demand;
